So I usually have a hard time finding the perfect jeans to fit me because not only am I curvy, but I am also petite (as in short, not small). I was going to look for another pair of "jeggings" (bought them before the word jeggings came out) by INC but they stopped making them. So I checked out Macy's a week ago and found these babies. They're made by Style & Co. and are slightly bootcut rather than fully flared. They fit perfectly! They're also very slimming as they have spandex for a little give and are in a dark wash. I will definitely be wearing these with boots and clogs this season.
They were originally $52, but were on sale for $32 and Macy's was having a denim sale taking $10 off making them $22. Check them out online or locally while they're still on sale.

I'm Baaaaaack!
Ok, so I know I totally ditched this blog leaving all of my 2 followers with no style inspiration, but I'm back. Had a big bump in the road that I had to get over. Though it was stressful, I'm able to make a new start and actually feel like "getting done up" again. Now I just have to find some places to go.
P.S. Yes I cut my hair, so as you follow this fashion journey with me, you can also follow my natural journey.

A Trench in Florida?
It's funny how people think us Floridians don't need coats or sweaters down here in the winter but we do. So I took advantage of two sites that are already selling outerwear at clearance prices and came up with a winner. :D
And the first one obviously isn't it. :( It's what I thought was a trench made by Jessica London. I bought it and even read the reviews but thought it couldn't be that bad. WRONG! It was worse. The "trench" is actually made out of raincoat material and I mean like the kind you wear on a water ride at a theme park, only thicker. It's supposed to be feminine and girly with the "ruffles" but instead it's wrinkled and crunched up. Add to that the fact that you can't iron it and it's just a HOT MESS.
Now...for the winner! I got this purple cotton trench coat from Target for $19 + some change!!! And I LOVE it. I love the color because it's my favorite and the texture of the jacket is nice (100% cotton with). It's a little big but I may have it taken in. Then again, maybe not so I can layer.
First up:
HOT MESS

Raincoat - Jessica London $39 (rounded up)
LOVE :D :

Trench - Target $20

Top and skirt - Old Navy
Shoes - Bandolino
And don't worry folks, I have a better camera and will set it up tomorrow to take better pics. :)

The Beginning...
I decided to start this blog today because (of):
1.)The lack of plus-sized everyday fashion blogs as opposed to those who are "normal" size (and that's a whole 'nother blog).
2.) As a way to push myself to wear things that flatter me rather than what's "comfortable".
2.5) I don't want to end up on What Not To Wear (well, not involuntarily).
So, I hope to inspire myself and others to dress a little better and also represent for the Big Girls (and/or the in-betweens)!
